Johnson High School is a Rhode Island Department of Education Regent's Commended School - 2005.
Johnston High School is designated as a concurrent enrollment partner of distinction with Rhode Island College.

Each year the US News and World Report nationally ranks schools.
This year, they listed Johnston Senior High School as a Bronze Medal recipient and one of 10 schools
in Rhode Island that was recognized. Congratulations to the administrators, faculty, staff and
students for being recognized and for the hard work that has led up to this honor.
Nearly a dozen Rhode Island high schools and more than 100 Massachusetts high schools were
recognized in U.S. News' 2018 edition of Best High Schools.
