National Italian & Spanish Exam Winners

Spanish 2 CP

In Español 2 CP, we were finishing up our unit with a cultural lesson about Las Molas. Molas are bright fabric artwork created by the Kuna Indians of the San Blas Islands which are right off the coast of Panama. This art form was originally used to make clothing, but today it refers to any piece of fabric made using this method. Kuna women cut out a cloth pattern and sew it onto layers of cloth that have been sewn together. The pictures are showing the students preparing their "cloth" to layer and create the designs for their molas.
