Supporting Every Learner

Johnston Senior High School provides inclusive, individualized support for students of all abilities, including those with significant and complex needs. We help every student participate meaningfully in school and prepare for greater independence.

Inclusion at JHS

Inclusion is central to our approach. Students with disabilities are provided opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in activities, and contribute to the school community alongside their peers. Each student’s program is individualized, with the goal of providing meaningful access, appropriate support, and the greatest possible level of independence.

A Continuum of Support

At JHS, we offer many special education services to meet the needs of all our students.  Some of our students require support in a single subject, some take advantage of our unique Personalize Learning Academy, while others benefit from a fully self-contained school day.
