At Johnston Senior High School, our Vision of a Graduate identifies the knowledge, skills, habits, and qualities we want every student to develop. Students demonstrate their growth through academic work, experiences beyond the classroom, a senior portfolio, and a culminating presentation.

Senior Presentation Day

Senior Portfolio and Presentation

The senior portfolio is JHS’s Performance-Based Diploma Assessment and a graduation requirement. It includes approved academic evidence aligned with all five graduate outcomes, evidence of a co-curricular or extracurricular experience, required SchoolLinks activities, and a culminating presentation.

For the presentation, each senior selects one meaningful piece of portfolio evidence to share with a JHS teacher and class. Students explain their work, reflect on their growth, and demonstrate how the experience has prepared them for life after high school.
