Panther Pride

Shared Expectations

The Panther Principles in Action

The Panther Principles apply throughout Johnston Senior High School. Although the specific expectations may look different depending on the setting, Panthers are always expected to be Prompt, Prepared, Polite, and Productive.

Classroom Expectations

Classrooms

In every classroom, Panthers arrive on time and ready to learn, treat others with respect, follow adult directions, and use their time productively. These shared expectations help create classrooms where every student can engage, contribute, and succeed.

Hallway Expectations

Hallways

In the hallways, Panthers move purposefully to their destinations, remain aware of their surroundings, and respect others sharing the space. By using passing time efficiently and following staff directions, students help maintain a safe and orderly school environment.

Restroom Expectations

Restrooms

In the restrooms, Panthers use the space efficiently and for its intended purpose, respect the privacy of others, and help keep the area clean and safe. Students return promptly to class ready to continue their day.

Library Expectations

Library

In the library, Panthers arrive with a purpose, respect the people and resources around them, and maintain a welcoming environment. Students use their time meaningfully to read, research, study, create, and complete their work.

Cafeteria Expectations

Cafeteria

In the cafeteria, Panthers report to their assigned lunch, respect the people and space around them, and clean up after themselves. Students use lunchtime to eat, socialize respectfully, and recharge without disrupting others or the environment.

Auditorium Expectations

Auditorium

In the auditorium, Panthers arrive on time, follow staff directions, and give their attention to speakers and performers. By participating appropriately and demonstrating respectful audience behavior, students help create a positive environment where everyone can learn, celebrate, and enjoy the program.
