Education

Education

The Johnston High School Education Pathway, built on the nationally recognized Educators Rising framework and planned for RIDE credentialing in the 2027–2028 school year, prepares students to become the next generation of educators and leaders. Beginning in their freshman year, students have the opportunity to earn Early Enrollment Program (EEP) college credit through Rhode Island College, providing an early start toward a degree in education. Through hands-on learning, field experiences, and college-level coursework, students explore child development, learning theory, instructional strategies, classroom leadership, and educational careers while developing the knowledge, communication, and leadership skills needed for success in college, teacher preparation programs, and the education profession.
