The Johnston High School Mathematics Department is dedicated to helping every student develop the confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills needed for success beyond the classroom. Through challenging coursework, real-world applications, and supportive instruction, we prepare students for college, careers, and lifelong learning.

  • The JHS math department offers a wide range of courses from Algebra 1 CP to AP Calculus:

     

    You can find the full course list along with descriptions and prerequisite courses in our program of studies.

  • The math department offers multiple college credit bearing classes, including AP Calculus, AP Stats, AP Precalculus, AP Computer Science A, and AP Computer Science Principles.

  • The math department is home to 2 of our RIDE Approved CTE programs: Computer Science and Pre-Engineering!
